Fitch rates China Life

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a national insurer financial strength rating of A+(twn) and an international IFS rating of BBB to China Life Insurance Co. Ltd.

The outlook is stable.

Fitch noted the ratings reflect China Life's improving interest margin as a result of a sustained decline in liability costs, strong product and channel management, its conservative investment strategy and experienced senior management.

These positive factors are, however, partially offset by the company's modest, albeit strengthened, risk-adjusted capitalization, the agency added.
