Moody's rates China Development Bank notes A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 foreign currency rating to the proposed notes issue of China Development Bank (CDB). The outlook is stable.

The agency said the A2 rating incorporates CDB's policy functions in financing the construction of infrastructure facilities, strategic industries and regional development projects, as well as the strong support it receives from the central government in its performance of these roles.

Moody's noted CDB's credit profile is sound and its recent financial performance has been healthy.
