Cheniere Energy starts roadshow for $500 million 10-year notes

By Paul A. Harris

St. Louis, April 7 - Cheniere Energy Inc. began a roadshow Thursday for a $500 million offering of 10-year senior notes, according to a syndicate source.

Pricing is expected late next week or early in the following week.

The notes will be non-callable for five years.

JP Morgan and Credit Suisse First Boston are joint bookrunners for the Rule 144A/Regulation S offering. Banc of America Securities LLC is co-manager.

The notes are expected to garner credit ratings at the mid-to-high single-B level, according to the syndicate source.

Proceeds will be used to fund a three-year interest reserve, for capital expenditures and for general corporate purposes.

The Houston-based company is a provider of liquified natural gas services.
