SBG Burger seeks extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 27 – SBG Burger Opco, LLC is seeking an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.

The company asked the court to extend the exclusive plan filing period through May 13 and the exclusive solicitation period through July 12.

The debtor said it is seeking the extension to permit the debtors to proceed forward with their proposed bid procedures, which will directly impact their plan.

The Coral Springs, Fla.-based debtors, subsidiaries of fast-food restaurant operator Starboard Group that control the group’s Wendy’s locations, filed bankruptcy on Nov. 14 under Chapter 11 case number 23-04797.
