UpHealth Holdings asks court for extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 2 – UpHealth Holdings, Inc. is seeking an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the company asked the court to extend the exclusive plan filing period through July 1 and the exclusive solicitation period through Aug. 30.

The company said that in the three months that it has been in Chapter 11, it has received approval to transition its Thrasys, Inc. business to its customers, obtained approval of post-petition use of cash collateral, and handled the various other tasks related to the administration of the debtors’ estates.

UpHealth said accomplishing these tasks within three months has been a labor-intensive process and has fully occupied the debtors’ time.

A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 13.

UpHealth, a Delray Beach, Fla.-based digital health company, filed bankruptcy on Sept. 19 under Chapter 11 case number 23-11476.
