Germany’s REWE to use first week of September for benchmark offering

Chicago, Sept. 1 – REWE International Finance BV will be holding investor calls on Sept. 4 and Sept. 5 for a new benchmark issue of sustainability-linked senior bonds, according to a source.

The notes will be euro-denominated with a seven-year tenor. A guarantee will come from REWE-Zentralfinanz eG.

BNP Paribas, SEB, Societe Generale and UniCredit are joint bookrunners.

BNP Paribas is coordinating logistics for the investor calls.

Proceeds will be used to reduce GHG emissions.

Sustainalytics provided a second-party opinion on the company’s new sustainability-linked bond framework.

If market conditions are suitable and the notes price, they will be listed in Luxembourg.

REWE is a Cologne, Germany-based trade and tourism group.
