Intelligent Epitaxy to sell up to NT$220 million of 0% convertibles

Lexington, Ky., Aug. 23 – Intelligent Epitaxy Technology, Inc. (IntelliEPI) received board approval on Wednesday to issue up to NT$220 million of domestic unsecured convertible bonds, according to a notice.

The three-year zero-coupon convertibles will be sold at par. They will have a face value of NT$100,000 per bond.

SinoPac Securities Corp. will be the underwriter.

Bank SinoPac Co., Ltd. will be the trustee.

Proceeds will be used for plant expansion and to upgrade production systems.

The issuer is a Richardson, Tex.-based supplier of expitaxy-based compound semiconductor epi-wafers to the electronics and optoelectronics industries.
