Principal Asset adds Michael Goosay to global fixed-income team

Lexington, Ky., Aug. 7 – Principal Asset Management hired Michael Goosay as managing director of global fixed-income and portfolio manager on select strategies, according to a company release.

Goosay’s leadership responsibilities across the fixed-income platform, which has $135.7 billion of assets under management, include being named as a portfolio manager on Principal Fixed Income’s flagship short-term income, core, core plus and US/global multi-sector strategies and associated products.

Goosay previously spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management as head of global pensions and multisector fixed-income portfolio management and as a member of the Goldman Sachs fixed-income business development committee and the macroeconomic outlook team.

His total experience includes leadership positions at Drake Management, JPMorgan Chase, Prudential Financial and GE Asset Management.

Goosay earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Albright College and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Rutgers University.

Principal Asset Management is the global investment solutions business for Principal Financial Group, an investment management company based in Des Moines.
