Mountain Express Oil committee wants more time for challenge period
Chicago, July 7 – The official committee of unsecured creditors for Mountain Express Oil Co.’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case has asked for an extension to the challenge period, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
The committee wants more time to review loan and security documents relating to the $37.85 million debtor-in-possession loan.
A hearing is set for July 19 to consider the extension.
The Alpharetta, Ga.-based fuel distributor filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on March 18 under case number 23-90147.
