Urban Commons trustee appoints two to committee of unsecured creditors

Chicago, Dec. 21 – Urban Commons 2 West LLC’s case had an official committee of unsecured creditors appointed by the Region 2 U.S. trustee, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Trustee William K. Harrington appointed Matthew Gunlock representing Highgate Hotels, LP and John Heim representing New York Hotel Trades Council and Hotel Association of New York City Inc. from the Employee Benefit Funds department to the committee.

Urban Commons is a Corona Del Mar, Calif.-based company that modernizes underperforming hotels. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy under case number 22-11509.
