Chicago, Sept. 27 – Nuveen Enhanced High Yield Municipal Bond Fund (HYIF) placed $27.5 million of series A MuniFund preferred shares (Aa3), according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The 275 shares were issued through a private placement to a qualified institutional buyer, as defined in Rule 144A.
Proceeds will be used to refinance existing leverage.
The shares are senior, with priority in all respects, to all classes of the fund’s common shares in liquidation and for dividends, and rank junior to borrowings.
Nuveen is based in Chicago.
