LaForta Gestao posts $360,548 net loss for June

Olympia, Wash., July 5 – LaForta Gestao e Investimentos Sociedade Unipessoal LDA reported a $360,548 net loss on $1,277 in gross income for June, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

To compare, the company reported a $5.1 million net loss on $2,215 in gross income for May.

The cash balance at the end of June was $6.02 million, down from $6.38 million at the end of May.

LaForta, which previously owned the Funchal, Portugal-based ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling rig known as La Muralla IV, is a wholly owned subsidiary of non-debtor Offshore Drilling Holding SA. It filed bankruptcy on June 16, 2022 under Chapter 11 case number 22-90126.
