Advisors Disciplined Trust 820 offers Dow Value Ten Portfolio units

Minneapolis, Feb. 22 - Advisors Disciplined Trust 820 is offering units of its Dow Value Ten Portfolio, Series 2012-1Q, according to an S-6 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Monument, Colo.-based Advisors Asset Management, Inc.

The trust seeks to provide above average total return through dividend income and capital appreciation by investing in a portfolio consisting of the 10 stocks with the highest dividend yield chosen from among the 30 stocks in the Dow Jones industrial average as of Feb. 17. The stocks are held in approximately equal dollar amounts as of the trust's inception.

On Feb. 22, the trust's inception date, $148,709 of contracts to purchase securities comprised the trust. The 15,021 units have an initial offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.655 each. The estimated net annual distribution is $0.3382 per unit.

Each unit carries a maximum sales fee of 2.95%, which is comprised of an initial sales fee of 1%, a deferred sales fee of 1.5% and a creation and development fee of 0.45%. Sales charge reductions are available on a sliding scale to 1.4% based on the amount of the investment.

The trust has a mandatory termination date of May 21, 2013.
