Diocese of Norwich reports $1.56 million net loss for December

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 23 – Norwich Roman Catholic Diocesan Corp., known as the Roman Catholic Diocese of Norwich, reported a $1.56 million net loss for December on $796,158 of gross income, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut.

To compare, the diocese posted a $172,294 net profit for November on $1.3 million of gross income.

The cash balance at the end of December was $6.33 million, down from $7.72 million at the end of November.

The Norwich, Conn.-based diocese filed bankruptcy on July 15, 2021 under Chapter 11 case number 21-20687.
