Limetree Bay gets another extension of timeline for sale of assets

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 29 – Limetree Bay Refining, LLC secured another extension of the deadlines under the bid procedures for the sale of its assets, according to a notice filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

The auction was moved to Nov. 10 from Oct. 21, the sale hearing was moved to Dec. 3 from Nov. 20, the deadline for the winning bidder to close the sale was moved to Dec. 10 from Dec. 3, and the deadline for the backup bidder to close the sale was moved to Dec. 13 from Dec. 10.

Limetree Bay is based in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and is capable of processing around 200,000 barrels per day. The company filed bankruptcy on July 12 under Chapter 11 case number 21-32351.
