Alpha Bank amends terms of series 1 and 2 covered bonds due 2023

Lexington, Ky., July 5 – Alpha Bank SA amended the terms of its €1 billion series 1 floating-rate covered bonds due January 2023 (ISIN: XS1733290750) and its €1 billion series 2 floating-rate covered bonds due January 2023 (ISIN: XS1817841643) issued by Alpha Bank SA (Alpha Holdco), according to a notice Tuesday.

At the request of Alpha Bank, the trustee, and as approved by the covered bondholders on July 5, the conditions of the series 1 and 2 covered bonds have been amended to extend the final maturity date to the interest date falling in or nearest to January 2025. It was previously the interest date falling in or nearest to January 2023.

The extended final maturity date was also amended to the interest date falling in or nearest to January 2072. It was previously the interest date falling in or nearest to January 2070.

HSBC Corporate Trustee Co. (UK) Ltd. is the trustee.

The bonds were issued under the company’s €8 billion direct issuance global covered bond program II.

The bank is based in Athens.
