Elkem eyes krone-denominated green bond with minimum three-year term

By Mary-Katherine Stinson

Lexington, Ky., Aug. 22 – Elkem ASA (Scope: BBB) has mandated Danske Bank and DNB Markets as joint lead managers to arrange a fixed income global investor call on Wednesday to consider a potential green bond offering.

The up to NOK 1 billion offering will have a minimum three-year tenor, according to multiple announcements.

The proceeds from the contemplated green bond issuance will be used in accordance with the newly established green bond framework, which has obtained a second party opinion from S&P Shades of Green.

Elkem is a silicon-based advanced materials supplier based in Oslo.
