Wardman Hotel names Carmel Partners winning bidder for property

Olympia, Wash., July 22 – Wardman Hotel Owner, LLC named Carmel Partners Realty VII, LLC the winning bidder for its property located in Washington, D.C., according to a notice filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Carmel Partners’ bid includes a purchase price of $152.25 million, subject to adjustment.

The company designated 2660 Woodley Road NW (DC) Owner, LLC as backup bidder.

A sale hearing was scheduled for Thursday.

Washington, D.C.-based Wardman Hotel is the owner of a convention hotel, formerly operated as the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Jan. 11, 2021 under case number 21-10023.
