U.K.-based Arcadia Group falls into administration; Deloitte named

Olympia, Wash., Dec. 1 – Arcadia Group Ltd. has entered into administration in the United Kingdom, according to a statement from the company.

Matthew David Smith, Daniel Francis Butters, Gavin Maher and Robert Scott Fishman, all of Deloitte LLP, were appointed as joint administrators of Arcadia.

As previously reported, Arcadia Group (USA) Ltd. filed for Chapter 15 bankruptcy on May 22, 2019 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York to gain U.S. court recognition of its English law administration proceedings under the Insolvency Act of 1986.

Arcadia is a London-based fast-fashion retailer and operator of the Topshop and Topman brands.
