By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Aug. 21 – Several motions filed in the Chapter 11 cases of OGGUSA, Inc., formerly GenCanna Global USA, Inc., have been ordered to mediation, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Specifically, the mediation will cover a motion of the official committee of unsecured creditors appointed in the case to prosecute and settle claims on behalf of the OGGUSA debtors’ estates, U.S. Trustee and committee motions to convert the Chapter 11 cases to Chapter 7 and the company’s motion for approval of a global settlement reached with MGG Investment Group LP.

Judge Tracey N. Wise will serve as mediator.

Winchester, Ky.-based GenCanna is a vertically integrated agriculture-technology company specializing in the production of hemp rich in CBD. The company filed bankruptcy on Feb. 6, 2020 under Chapter 11 case number 20-50133.
