Haier Smart Home plans up to RMB 10 billion medium-term notes

Los Angeles, March 31 – Haier Smart Home Co., Ltd. is proposing an up to RMB 15 billion issuance of debt financing instruments.

The company plans to issue no more than RMB 5 billion of ultra-short-term bonds and up to RMB 10 billion of medium-term notes with maturities of up to seven years.

Coupons will be determined by book-building.

Proceeds will be used to supplement working capital, repay debt and support project construction and other production and operation activities.

The proposed issuance are subject to shareholder approval at an upcoming general meeting.

Hong Kong-based Haier makes and sells washing machines and water heaters.
