Moody’s shifts view Vietnamese financial institutions to stable

Moody’s Investors Service said it changed the outlook for five Vietnamese banks to stable from under review and confirmed their ratings.

The three finance companies are VPBank Finance Co. Ltd., Home Credit Vietnam Finance Co. Ltd. and Shbank Finance Co. Ltd. The two banks are Vietnam Prosperity JSC Bank and Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank.

The outlooks reflect a lessening in the degree of downside risks than expected when Moody’s took the rating action on the five financial institutions in April and Moody’s views the downside risks have already been adequately factored into their stand-alone credit profiles, the agency said.
