S&P: Prince Edward Island view to stable

S&P said it revised the outlook for the Province of Prince Edward Island to stable from positive and affirmed the A ratings on the province and its senior unsecured debt.

“The stable outlook reflects our expectation that, while reduced revenues and temporary relief programs will weaken PEI's budgetary results and available liquidity, the positions are strong enough to withstand the economic impact of the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020,” S&P said in a press release.
