Mexico’s Operadora de Servicios Mega to issue up to Ps. 3 billion bonds

Buffalo, N.Y., March 16 – Operadora de Servicios Mega SA de CV is issuing up to Ps. 3 billion of sustainable bonds in its local market, according to a press release on Wednesday.

The issuance would be carried out under the company’s Ps. 10 billion preauthorized long-term stock certificates program.

The sustainable bonds will have an approximate tenor of five years, marking the company’s first green issuance and the first such issuance carried out by a non-banking financial institution in Mexico.

Proceeds will be used to finance or refinance projects that promote the sustainable, green and social development of the country.

Further details, such as those pertaining to coupons and bookrunners, were not disclosed in the press release.

Operadora de Servicios Mega is a Guadalajara, Mexico-based specialty finance company.
