Nelson retires as co-portfolio manager with Advent/Claymore funds

Chicago, Feb. 1 - Advent Capital Management, LLC said F. Barry Nelson will step down as co-portfolio manager of three funds and retire from the firm, effective Friday.

Nelson worked at the firm for nearly 17 years and was co-portfolio manager of the Advent Claymore Convertible Securities and Income Fund and the Advent Claymore Convertible Securities and Income Fund II. He was also a co-portfolio manager of the Advent/Claymore Enhanced Growth & Income Fund since its inception on Jan. 31, 2005, according to a company press release.

Advent is an investment firm based in Lisle, Ill.
