Former Moriah Powder River seeks more time to file plan, solicit votes

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Sept. 28 – US Realm Powder River, LLC, formerly Moriah Powder River, LLC, is seeking further approval from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Wyoming to extend its exclusive Chapter 11 plan-filing and vote-solicitation procedures, according to a motion filed Friday.

Specifically, the company is asking the court to extend the exclusive plan filing period through April 30 and the solicitation period through June 30.

US Realm said the extension will provide the time needed for it to build up cash, potentially enter into additional price locking arrangements for its uncommitted gas and prepare its plan of reorganization.

Moriah Powder River is a Denver-based oil and natural gas exploration and production company. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 31 under Chapter 11 case number 19-20699.
