Former Loot Crate eyes exclusivity extension; plan feasibility unclear

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Dec. 10 – Old LC, Inc., formerly Loot Crate, Inc., is seeking an extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the company is asking the court to extend its exclusive plan-filing period by 90 days through March 9 and the solicitation period through May 11.

“While it remains unclear if a plan can be confirmed in these cases, if that is possible, then more time is needed to formulate, negotiate and ensure implementation of a reasonable and effective plan, if possible,” the motion said.

A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 8.

Los Angeles-based Loot Crate sells pop culture subscription boxes. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 11 under Chapter 11 case number 19-11791.
