New Issue: GS Finance sells $3.77 million contingent coupon autocalls on S&P 500, Russell 2000 Value

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 30 – GS Finance Corp. priced $3.77 million of autocallable contingent coupon index-linked notes due June 27, 2022 linked to the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 Value index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Each quarter, the notes pay a contingent coupon at an annualized rate of 6% if each index closes at or above its coupon trigger level, 75% of its initial level, on the observation date for that period.

The notes will be automatically called at par if each index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly call observation date after six months.

The payout at maturity will be par unless either index finishes below the initial level and either index ever closes below the 75% trigger level, in which case investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline of the least-performing index from its initial level.
