Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 20 – Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc issued its inaugural green bond, a £350 million 2.25% green bond due in September 2035, according to a press release.
This is the third green bond issuance in as many years for parent company SSE plc.
Proceeds are expected to support the transition toward a low-carbon future through investments in renewable energy infrastructure.
Scottish Hydro Electric is responsible for maintaining and investing in the electricity transmission network in the north of Scotland. SSE is an energy company based in Perth, Scotland.
