Epic requests approval to sell four Houma properties for $1 million

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Nov. 15 – Epic Cos., LLC requested court approval to sell four parcels of property for a total of $1 million, according to a motion filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Specifically, Hope Services, Inc. has agreed to purchase four pieces of property in Houma, La.

Epic said in the motion that it believes that this offer constitutes the highest and best offer for the properties, and holding an auction would present “a risk that the debtors would receive less than $1,000,000, resulting in less value to the estates.”

Epic is a Houston-based full-service provider to the global decommissioning, installation and maintenance markets. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 26 under Chapter 11 case number 19-34752.
