Fitch rates El Dorado airport notes BBB

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB rating to $415 million of senior secured notes offered by Sociedad Concesionaria Operadora Aeroportuaria Internacional, SA, which runs the concession of El Dorado International Airport in Bogata.

“The rating reflects El Dorado airport as a strategic asset for Colombia, being the main gateway to the country and the third-largest airport in Latin America in terms of traffic volume. The airport has a robust traffic base, comprising mostly origin and destination (O&D) passengers and has a demonstrated history of strong traffic performance with relatively low volatility,” said Fitch in a news release.

The outlook is negative.
