Advanta files $350 million automatic shelf registration

Des Moines, Aug. 18 - Advanta Corp. registered $350 million RediReserve variable rate certificates and notes with maturities of 91 days to 10 years in an S-3ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The filing includes $170 million previously registered but unsold securities.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Advanta, a provider of credit cards and other financial services for businesses, is based in Spring House, Pa.
