Rapala VMC mulls new hybrid bond issue

New York, July 9 – Rapala VMC Corp. is considering issuing a hybrid bond in the 2019 third quarter, subject to market conditions, according to a company release on Tuesday.

The subordinated debt is treated as equity but does not dilute the holdings of current shareholders.

The company said a hybrid bond issue would strengthen its capital structure and financial position.

Helsinki, Finland-based Rapala is a fishing tackle company.
