Moody's changes NEXT view to positive

Moody's Ratings said it affirmed the Baa2 long-term issuer rating of NEXT Group plc and affirmed the company’s backed senior unsecured and senior unsecured ratings at Baa2.

The outlook was changed to positive from stable.

The rating action reflects the company's strong performance in fiscal 2024 ended Jan. 27 and strong operating track record; lower leverage compared to the requirements for the current rating and the potential for further leverage reduction through debt repayments; and a degree of uncertainty with regard to potential debt-funded acquisitions and/or higher shareholder returns over next 12-18 months, Moody’s said in a news release.
