Moody’s trims Etesa

Moody's Investors Service said it downgraded the issuer and senior unsecured debt ratings of Empresa de Transmision Electrica, SA (Etesa) to Baa3 from Baa2. The agency also revised the outlook to stable from negative.

“This rating action follows the downgrade of the government of Panama (GOP) long-term issuer and senior unsecured ratings to Baa3 from Baa2 and its outlook changed to stable from negative,” Moody’s said in a press release. Etesa is owned by the Panamanian government.
