USA Gymnastics sexual abuse survivor claimants committee appointed

Pittsburgh, Dec. 20 – The U.S. Trustee overseeing USA Gymnastics’ Chapter 11 case appointed an additional tort claimants committee of sexual abuse survivors for the case, according to a notice filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

The committee members appointed by U.S. trustee Nancy Gargula include Marcia Frederick Blanchette, who is represented by Kimberly Dougherty of Andrus Wagstaff, PC of Easton, Mass; Alyssa Corn, represented by Megan A. Bonanni and Michael L. Pitt of Pitt McGhee Palmer & Rivers, PC of Royal Oak, Mich.; Rachel Denhollander, represented by Stephen R. Drew/Adam C. Sturdivant of Drew, Cooper & Anding of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Kenzie Gassaway, represented by Manvir S. Grewal of Okemos, Mich.; Sarah Klein, also represented by Grewal; Alexandra Raisman, represented by John Manley of Manly, Stewart & Finaldi of Irvine, Calif.; Kyla Ross, also represented by Manly; Tasha Schwikert-Warren, represented by Kevin Boyle & Jesse Creed of Panish, Shea & Boyle LLP of Los Angeles; and Jessica Thomashow, also represented by Drew and Sturdivant.

According to a separate notice, the co-chairmen of the committee are Schwikert-Warren, Klein and Denhollander.

The Indianapolis-based gymnastics organization filed bankruptcy on Dec. 5 under Chapter 11 case number 18-09108.
