Advanced Marketing posts $6.67 million operating loss for June

New York, Nov. 1 - Advanced Marketing Services Inc. reported a $6.67 million operating loss for the month of June on $531,786 of net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The numbers compare to a $2.03 million operating loss for May on $585,020 in net sales.

The net loss for the June period was $7.48 million, versus a $15.89 million May net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents were $431,980 in June, compared with $185,697 at the end of April.

Advanced Marketing, a San Diego-based provider of customized merchandising, wholesaling and contract distribution services, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 29, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-11480.
