Jefferies rates Advanced Magnetics at buy

Advanced Magnetics, Inc. was rated at a buy by Jefferies & Co., Inc. analyst Adam Walsh on expectations of clean overall safety results of the ferumoxytol phase 3 study expected on Nov. 17. Walsh also anticipates ferumoxytol will demonstrate statistically significant, superior efficacy compared to the oral iron comparator arm. Shares of the Cambridge, Mass.-based pharmaceutical products company were up 76 cents, or 1.76%, at $43.90. (Nasdaq: AMAG)
