Jefferies puts Advanced Magnetics at buy

Advanced Magnetics, Inc. was rated at buy by Jefferies & Co., Inc. analyst Adam Walsh on expectations of clean safety and solid efficacy data from the first phase 3 ferumoxytol trial. The company announced that in a planned succession, Brian Pereira, who was president, will be appointed chief executive officer effective immediately. Shares of the Cambridge, Mass.-based pharmaceutical products company were down 79 cents, or 1.70%, at $40.46. (Nasdaq: AMAG)
