Moody's lifts FTLife Insurance view to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the insurance financial strength rating of FTLife Insurance Co. Ltd. at Baa1.

Moody's also said it affirmed the Baa2 backed senior unsecured rating of FTL Capital Ltd.

FTL Capital's outstanding bonds are fully and unconditionally guaranteed by FTLife, the agency explained.

The agency also revised the company's outlook to positive from stable.

The positive outlook is because the previous constraint on the rating by the weak credit profile of its existing shareholder will be potentially removed, Moody's said.

The outlook also considers an expectation of FTLife's own improving standalone credit profile from stronger distribution capabilities and improved capital and profitability.
