Atlas Renewable Energy gets R$407 million loan to build solar plant

Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 17 – Atlas Renewable Energy secured a R$407 million loan from Brazil's Northeastern Bank's Northeastern Constitutional Financing Fund for the construction of Lar do Sol – Casablanca II, a solar plant to be located in Pirapora, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, according to an announcement from the company.

The company said the self-production plant will help co-investor Unipar to produce chlorine for the treatment of water for over 60 million people. Atlas Renewable Energy will be the main investor and operator.

The renewable energy company is based in Miami.
