Advanced Energy Industries ponders possible convertibles, stock issuance
By Reshmi Basu
New York, Feb. 24 - Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. may issue convertibles or stock to address its liquidity requirements, according to its 10-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The technology company said it might raise capital through the public markets with convertibles, stock or both in 2004.
The Fort Collins, Colo. company has not generated positive cash flows from operations since 2001.
"To address our liquidity requirements, we have to set a goal to move to a more variable operating model where we reduce our operating cash flow breakeven point," said the technology company in its filing.
Proceeds would be used to realign the company's capital structure and provide liquidity for the next semiconductor capital equipment up-cycle.
