S&P gives VR Group A+

S&P said it assigned its A+ long-term issuer credit rating to VR Group Ltd.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said the rating on VR reflects its position as the incumbent provider of rail transport services in the wealthy Finnish market, where economic and political developments are expected to remain supportive of rail transport.

The rating incorporates two notches of uplift from its stand-alone credit profile of a-, based on a view of a high likelihood that Finland would provide sufficient and timely extraordinary support to VR if needed, S&P said.
