By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Sept. 18 – Speedcast International Ltd. and other parties to its Chapter 11 cases have been ordered to participate in a non-binding mediation session to be held on Sept. 22, according to an order filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Judge David R. Jones will serve as mediator.

The parties ordered to participate in the mediation include Speedcast; informal secured lender group members Black Diamond Capital management, LLC and MJX Asset Management LLC; Centerbridge Partners, LP and the official committee of unsecured creditors appointed for Speedcast’s case.

Black Diamond filed a motion under seal on Sept. 7 requesting mediation.

Speedcast is an Australia-based provider of remote communication and IT solutions. The company filed bankruptcy on April 23 under Chapter 11 case number 20-32243.
