Speedcast seven-member official unsecured creditors committee named

Pittsburgh, May 8 – Speedcast International Ltd.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed on Wednesday by acting U.S. Trustee Henry G. Hobbs Jr., according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

The committee members are Dieter Hase of Intelsat US LLC of McLean, Va.; David Grant of Thrane & Thrane A/S of Lyngby, Denmark; Brendan O’ Callaghan of New Skies Satellites, BV of The Hague; Sue Yeung of Asia Satellite Telecommunications Co. Ltd. of Hong Kong; Edward Joannides of Intellian of Irvine, Calif.; Richard O’Reilly of Telesat Canada, based in Ottawa; and Huang Baozhong of APT Satellite Co. Ltd. of Hong Kong.

Speedcast is an Australia-based provider of remote communication and IT solutions. The company filed bankruptcy on April 23 under Chapter 11 case number 20-32243.
