Moody’s rates Vietnam Prosperity notes B1

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned a B1 long-term foreign currency senior unsecured rating to the proposed senior dollar notes to be issued by Vietnam Prosperity JSC Bank (B1 stable, b1).

The notes are a drawdown from the bank's $1 billion medium term note program.

The outlook is stable.

The B1 rating is in line with the bank’s B1 long-term foreign currency issuer rating.

The agency said the issuer rating reflects the bank's b1 baseline credit assessment and Moody's expectation of a moderate probability of support from the Vietnamese government (Ba3 stable) in case of need.
