S&P rates Intercorp notes BBB-

S&P said it assigned its BBB- issue-level rating to Intercorp Financial Services Inc.'s (BBB-/stable/A-3) up to $300 million of 10-year senior unsecured notes.

“The rating on the notes reflects their pari passu ranking with the entity's other senior unsecured debt obligations. As a result, the rating is the same as the long-term issuer credit rating on IFS," S&P credit analyst Rafael Janequine said in a news release.

“The notes will increase IFS's double leverage to 110%-115%, which we believe is still at manageable levels given the group's sound income generation capacity,” the agency added.
