Zetta Jet Chapter 7 trustee granted approval to seek case recognition

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Dec. 11 – Zetta Jet USA, Inc.’s Chapter 7 trustee received court approval to seek recognition of the company’s bankruptcy case in foreign courts, according to an order filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

As previously reported, Jonathan D. King filed the motion when Zetta Jet was still in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. He was subsequently appointed as Chapter 7 trustee after the case was converted last week.

According to the motion, the trustee has identified assets of the debtors that are located in different parts of the world.

“The Chapter 11 trustee intends to seek recognition to recover and secure assets that belong to the debtors,” the motion said.

Zetta Jet is a Burbank, Calif.-based private aviation charter company. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15 under Chapter 11 case number 17-21386.
