Rothschild hires Mark Connelly for equity capital markets businesses

Chicago, July 13 – Rothschild & Co. hired Mark Connelly to join its global advisory business as managing director to lead its equity capital markets offering in North America, according to a press release.

The new director will have oversight of the North American activities of Redburn Atlantic, the equity capital markets execution arm of Rothschild & Co, working closely with Adam Young, chief executive officer of Redburn Atlantic.

Redburn (Europe) Ltd. and Atlantic Equities LLP is expected to merge in the third quarter.

Previously in his career, at Nomura, Connelly built the firm’s cash equity, convertible underwriting and restructuring, equity private placement and SPAC capabilities. He was also at Jefferies and before that, he spent over 20 years at UBS, ultimately overseeing equity capital markets across the Americas.

The global advisory division of Rothschild designs and executes strategic M&A and financing solutions.
