Three hhgregg debtors post operating results for month ended Aug. 31

Pittsburgh, Sept. 28 – hhgregg, Inc. reported zero operating income, net sales and net income for August, the same as in July, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

In addition, the company had no cash in August or July.

The Gregg Appliances Inc. debtor saw a $60,000 operating loss for August on zero net sales. The operating loss for July was $1.26 million, also on zero net sales.

Gregg Appliances posted $120,000 of August net income, improving from a $1.36 million July net loss.

Also, Gregg Appliances listed $12.41 million of cash as of Aug. 31, up from $12.3 million at the end of July.

Meanwhile, the HHG Distributing LLC debtor also showed no operating income, net income, sales or cash for August or July.

hhgregg is an Indianapolis-based specialty retailer of consumer electronics and home appliances. The company filed for bankruptcy on March 6, 2017 under Chapter 11 case number 17-01302.
